Dodik again spoke about self-determination: 'We do not accept a unitary and centralized BiH'

(Patria) - We do not accept a unitary and centralized BiH and we do not want to fulfill Western wishes, said the President of RS, Milorad Dodik, in Banja Luka at the International Conference "Republika Srpska: Respect for Sovereignty and the Dayton Agreement".

- If possible, return us to the letter of Dayton, if it is not possible, we will not live in this country. We have the right to self-determination. The only way to preserve the Dayton position is an independent RS - said Dodik.

He reminded that the highest leadership of RS is now under US sanctions and pointed out that "it is seen that America wants to change behavior by force."

- Unitarization of BiH leads to the displacement of Serbs from these areas. And we know that Croats in BiH are a national minority. So, Dayton is being dismantled - Dodik said.

According to him, the world is full of unrealistic solutions.

- The international community is not just what appears to us as a violent approach. Republika Srpska best shows how rigid policies that do not respect rights are applied here.

There have been numerous attempts to take away our freedom. This also happened in relation to the Dayton Agreement - Dodik believes.

He also adds that a part of the West present in BiH says that the Dayton Agreement is a transitional agreement and that it was not supposed to be permanent.

- The question arises, what is the transitional agreement for? What is the goal? We are being forced to change our identity, and to accept what is being imposed on us, from changing the language which will not be Serbian. On the other hand, there are our opponents who call themselves Bosnian Muslims - said Dodik.

He also emphasizes that the story about a unitary BiH has its background in the US administration, Great Britain, and the Brussels structure.

- From their side, Serbs are demonized, and Serbs advocate for respect for the Dayton Agreement, which regulates the legal system of BiH. Europe is in crisis, it has no leaders, resources, oil, gas, and has lost its competitiveness - stated the president of the smaller BiH entity.

He adds that RS cannot accept Europe's subservient approach to America.

- They are sending us an unelected foreigner who was not appointed in accordance with Annex 10 of the Dayton Agreement and the UN Security Council resolution. He is not the High Representative of BiH - Dodik repeats his mantra.

He said that Serbs have no ambition for any conflicts, but they will "resort to all political means to preserve the sovereignty of Republika Srpska".

- We are the only ones defending the Dayton Agreement, it's time to give up on that. Everyone in BiH is dissatisfied. For two years now, the ruling structure in RS has not been talking to the US ambassador.

Suddenly, Schmidt appeared, trying to take away our forests, waters, to dispossess RS. We said that the issue of property will never be on the table. They used the fact that the Constitutional Court of BiH has two Muslims and three foreigners who vote identically against RS - said Dodik.

He also states that the goal is to preserve the stability of RS.

- Every attempt to show that RS is successful is being stifled. The European Union is conditioning us with finances to change our rhetoric - stated Dodik, and reminded that "RS did not allow BiH to impose sanctions on Russia."

- Why do they think we will impose sanctions on Russia and lose a historical friend, and we will weaken?

That's why we haven't imposed sanctions, and that's why I hope that the upcoming European elections will give strength to alternative parties. The EU must redefine itself. We will not join the EU with a changed decision-making process - concluded Dodik.
