Dodik opens his purse: Stevančević took 50,000 KM from SDS, switched sides to SNSD overnight?

The atmosphere in the circus that pitched its tents in the National Assembly of Republika Srpska since noon was further fueled by the confusion of Ilija Stevančević, president of the Party of United Pensioners (PUP), who today, as the oldest deputy, presides over the constitutive session, writes the Bosnian news agency Patria.

Stevančević (born in 1937) left the Socialist Party, which was in coalition with SNSD and DNS in February this year.

Just a few months later, he joined the Alliance for Changes RS at the invitation of SDS, and found himself on the joint list for the National Assembly of RS.

However, at today's session, he did not behave as a deputy of the Alliance at any moment. On the contrary, he was pandering to SNSD all the time.

For joining the Alliance for Changes, Stevančević allegedly received 50,000 KM in cash from SDS. But, as could be seen today, he changed his jersey overnight and forgot about the money received from SDS.

His behavior showed that he is on the side of the bloc led by SNSD, and it is clear that along with Vojin Mitrović, who has already left Dragan Čavić's NDP party, Stevančević will be part of the tight parliamentary majority that Milorad Dodik will most likely form. What he got in return from Dodik remains to be speculated.
