Dodik: I reject all conclusions of the PIC communiqué, they do not exist

(Patria) - Milorad Dodik, member of the BiH Presidency, after a meeting with Gabriel Escobar, the US Special Envoy, stated that the meeting did not yield any particular results.

"But we had the opportunity to clarify some issues. I want to say that the media are writing that some PIC session is being held, the question arises who authorized these countries, and we know that Russia is not participating. Their arrival was used for various meetings at different levels.

We must persistently repeat that the UN Security Council has not appointed any person as High Representative, and therefore the OHR does not exist either. There were assessments at these meetings that they are aware of the crisis, but that the primary fault lies with BiH politicians, and others that the mediators are to blame.

The fundamental issue remains the functioning of BiH institutions. The decision from Republika Srpska remains in force until the imposed decision is withdrawn. It is impossible for anyone to accuse a nation and an entire republic of genocide, and for that not to remain in the public discourse, while those who claim otherwise are prosecuted.

You are making one topic taboo because some foreigner wished it so. We in BiH can eventually sit down and talk about this topic, and reach some solutions," said Dodik, noting that he rejects all statements in the PIC communiqué.

He also added that the issue of 'Luna' missiles, which must be destroyed, has been raised for a long time.

"I considered that the destruction of these assets should be approached, as it could cause damage to citizens. So that there would be no speculation, I was guided by the interests of Republika Srpska. I do not decide about the National Assembly of Republika Srpska, but that is how it is presented in public. These are political, not war initiatives regarding the transfer of competencies. Even if someone were to attack Republika Srpska, we will defend ourselves politically. We have a way to defend ourselves, and I regret that in Republika Srpska we have those who fight harder than those from the Federation. Republika Srpska has the right to an army, a court, and a prosecutor's office, it has the right to have jurisdiction over the fiscal system. And all of that functioned until 2006, and thanks to the High Representative, all of that was abolished. That is not the expression of the will of those who made those decisions," said Dodik.

He added that those who announce sanctions should just go their own way, but that such talk no longer holds water.
