Dodik announces details of meeting: Republika Srpska to form border police!

(Patria) - The Bosnian Serb entity of Republika Srpska is forming its own border police, announced Milorad Dodik.

The entity president stated that this is being done "in accordance with the Dayton Agreement and its Annex 2".

"A working group has been formed, which held its first meeting today regarding the drafting of laws that will regulate the work of the border police in the territory of Republika Srpska. The legal framework on which the working group is working will be exclusively in accordance with the Dayton Agreement and its Annex 2.

We remind that in the period from 1996 to 2000, the border of Republika Srpska was controlled by the Police of Republika Srpska, and that, contrary to the Dayton Agreement and the Constitution of BiH, on January 13, 2000, the High Representative Wolfgang Petritsch imposed the "State" Border Service of BiH with his decision.

On this occasion, a closed session of the Government of Republika Srpska will be held in the afternoon, which will also consider other issues of the overall political and security situation in Republika Srpska and BiH," Dodik wrote on social media.

He announced that he, as well as the Chairperson of the Presidency of BiH Željka Cvijanović, will attend this session.
