Dodik on the FRONTEX Agreement: RS will be visible in every decision-making process

(Patria) - After ministers from the Bosniak ranks did not support the proposal of BiH Security Minister Nenad Nešić regarding the composition of the negotiating team and the basis for conducting negotiations for signing the Agreement with the European Border and Coast Guard Agency (FRONTEX), the President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik, leader of SNSD and coalition partner of HDZ BiH and the parties of the troika, also reacted.

"Republika Srpska is visible and will be visible in every process and everywhere decisions are made, including when it comes to FRONTEX. This is guaranteed by the BiH Constitution and no one will be able to change that. If anyone in the Federation thinks they will be able to continue to pull a fast one, as the SDA used to do, they are deluded, no matter how much foreigners push them to do it," Dodik emphasized in a post on social network X.

Nešić proposed 11 people for the negotiating team, of which four are Croats, four Serbs, and three Bosniaks.

Apart from the composition of the Delegation, certain provisions that strengthen entity police forces are also disputed, which was particularly insisted upon by the Ministry of Interior of Republika Srpska. The position of the RS Ministry of Interior is, namely, that consent for opening FRONTEX regional offices in BiH is given by "the state and entities."
