Dodik on visit to USA: Sarajevo's fabrications about destroying RS failed, we will part ways peacefully, stop the path to the EU

(Patria) - At Banja Luka airport, SNSD president Milorad Dodik and acting RS President Ana Trišić Babić held a press conference about their visit to Washington.

Dodik said the visit was neither accidental nor protocolary and that it was a delegation of the RS, and that they spoke and acted in that capacity.

"We met with 14 congressmen, two senators, the Secretary of Defense, a spokesperson. We showed that RS can open all doors. Željka was with the Deputy Secretary of State yesterday. We were at various public and private meetings. We said that Dayton has been destroyed and cannot be fixed. It is clearly visible here that Muslims are pressuring our Christians to reduce our autonomy. I had a meeting with an important person, I don't know if it will succeed, I asked for sanctions to be imposed on Schmidt. We sat with the spokesperson for the President of the USA, we talked about RS, we said nothing bad about Muslims. Bosnia is unacceptable to us, we will not give up on that, we have plans that we will not discuss today because we are waiting for the conditions to be met," said Dodik.

He emphasized that Serbia, as the key ally of RS, will be officially informed about the outcome of this visit. Dodik stated that their position is that the Dayton Peace Agreement no longer exists and that they should part ways peacefully.

"We are conducting planned diplomacy. I think everyone is tired of those from Sarajevo with their lamentations and whining. Wherever they open their mouths, they just moan," he said.

He added that the State Department is also discussing the unequal position of Croats.

"We will have to encourage Croats to more strongly begin to seek a resolution of their status in the way provided for by the Dayton Agreement."

Another important partner of RS is Israel, and he emphasized that the visit to Jerusalem is intertwined with the visit to Washington.

"Israel is one of the destinations with the greatest influence and power. We have some discussions with Israel that we will not disclose. We will continue to work with them on our right to self-determination. In Jerusalem, we did not have to explain much. We support their activities," said Dodik.

He then emphasized the strong partnership with Moscow, Russia, and Hungary.

"The USA was the stage these days where we removed the burden of responsibility that was falsely imposed in Washington about us being bad guys, about Milorad Dodik being some kind of beast. We have no aspirations towards the FBiH, the problem is that they have aspirations towards us. That is why there is an entity border defined by the Dayton Peace Agreement. To each their own, and we must build that as a way of life," said Dodik.

He once again denied the genocide in Srebrenica and stated that the BiH Armed Forces, state police, Court, and Prosecutor's Office should be abolished.

He said that he fully supports Trump's stance that Europe has failed.

"I believe he is right. All activities on the path to the EU should be suspended. Our paths should lead to America and Russia, Serbia and Israel, those are our paths," said Dodik.

He also called on the authorities and the opposition in RS to initiate an internal dialogue.

"This is the America of Donald Trump, a man who is undoubtedly clear. Sarajevo's fabrications about the destruction of Republika Srpska have failed. Hamas lost in Gaza, they lost too," said Dodik.

He announced a new trip to the USA at the beginning of March and that they want to build a strategic partnership with the USA.
