Dodik on UN Security Council decision: We cannot influence the processes, that would be overly ambitious

(Patria) - SNSD leader Milorad Dodik commented on the UN Security Council's decision not to allow High Representative Christian Schmidt to address today's session, stating that Russia and China do not recognize him and that this was a logical sequence of events.

"He will not address the Security Council, which is important, and we can see a positive shift in that. I wouldn't be so sure that we should take on the label of those who did that. We can feel satisfaction, but expecting that we can influence processes at that level would indeed be overly ambitious," said Dodik.

He also stated that he does not know how all of this will end.

"We said we see no problem with Althea staying here. We hear various comments from Sarajevo, we see how they report and analyze the matter. Their claims that some concept of keeping a weak Althea, without a High Representative, is all about dismantling Bosnia and Herzegovina, which is of course not true. What is true is that we read the Constitution and see what belongs to us, and we will take it. What belongs to Bosnia and Herzegovina, no one will touch, but no one mentions that in the report," said Dodik.

He emphasizes that Bosnia and Herzegovina as envisioned by Dayton is not at all disputed, but everything else is.

Dodik states that the High Representative does not exist and that this has now been proven in the Security Council.

"I cannot understand the minds here, especially in the Republic of Srpska, in Serbia, in some other places, that view him as something that exists. How can he exist when he was not appointed by the Security Council," said Dodik.
