Dodik on Krišto's announcements: Law on courts only with our consent

(Patria) - SNSD President Milorad Dodik stated that the Law on Courts will only be supported if the Serb side agrees, adding that the Chairwoman of the Council of Ministers of BiH Borjana Krišto should not risk relations within the partnership at the BiH level and do so unilaterally.

Commenting on Krišto's letter to the European Commissioner for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Oliver Varhelyi, in which she stated that several documents crucial for fulfilling BiH's reform obligations, including the law on the BiH court, would be on the agenda of the upcoming Council of Ministers session, Dodik assessed that Krišto is prone to "introducing a kind of urgency where there is no need for it".

Dodik reminded that at the previous meeting of partners at the BiH government level in Mostar, those working in the Council of Ministers said they had promises from the European Commission that adopting the laws on conflict of interest and public service would be sufficient.

"Both have been done - what do they want now? We can adopt the law on courts, but the seat (of the Appellate Division) must be in Banja Luka, and the BiH Court cannot rule according to the laws of Republika Srpska and cannot exclude cases from RS. We will accept such a law," Dodik told reporters in Teslić.
