Dodik on the Muslim SDA, the People, and the Independence Referendum

BELGRADE, (Patria) - Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina and President of the Alliance of Independent Social Democrats (SNSD) Milorad Dodik said after a meeting in Belgrade with the President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić and representatives of the Serbian people from the region and the Serbian Orthodox Church that this meeting was an opportunity for those present to become acquainted with the newly emerged situation in BiH.

In his address after the meeting, he said that the SDA is a Muslim political party that adopted a declaration undermining the RS, and it is being implemented by way of a Constitutional Court decision that attacks not only the symbols of the RS but also the property of the RS. He added that Western countries also support this.

"After several rulings that property belongs to the entities, they have now annulled those and are transferring it to the level of BiH, thereby undermining the RS. For us, this is a crossed red line.

Dodik stated in his address that the decision of the Constitutional Court of BiH undermines the Republika Srpska.

"Those who advocate for the undermining of the RS will say that the decisions of the Constitutional Court of BiH must be respected. We will use all our institutional possibilities through the NSRS and our participation in institutions, but I informed Vučić that the red line has been crossed and that we are moving towards making a decision on our independence. Ultimately, the people will decide. We will seek that through a decision of the people via a referendum, regardless of how many times they have disputed it, a decision be made on the status of the Republika Srpska. The people can no longer allow, and we as representatives of that people cannot appear foolish. This is a moment in which the following can happen: either a change in the arrangement regarding the Constitutional Court, in which there will no longer be foreigners, they make decisions so that three foreigners and two Bosniaks most often make decisions against the RS and then tell us we must respect that. We support Serbia, its policy, we are grateful for the help and understanding, but we pursue our authentic policy and I am glad we have a place where we can announce our plans," said Dodik.
