Dodik: I offer to come to Sarajevo for talks in the morning; Vučić: A difficult day for the entire Serbian people

(Patria) - Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić spoke tonight in Banja Luka with RS President Milorad Dodik, to whom the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina issued a first-instance verdict today in Sarajevo.

After the meeting, Dodik and Vučić addressed the press together.

- It is important that the Serbian Assembly will also be held, and the RS will present its positions - said Dodik, thanking the Serbian president for his understanding.

He told him that the RS is proud that tonight he "reacted like no Serbian president before."

- And that despite all your problems, you came here. This is very important to us. We understand Serbia's peacekeeping role - said Dodik.

He emphasizes that "all this is important because Serbia is a signatory to the Dayton Agreement."

- We agree to preserve peace. I call on all people in the RS to preserve peace and stability. We are not attacking anyone, we have no war plan. We are ready to talk, but not to be ignored.

We are ready to talk to everyone. To see how to make BiH constitutional and sustainable for all, and not to lose the rights we have acquired - Dodik stated.

He stated that peace is paramount.

- Tomorrow, the RS leadership will call for talks. We don't need anything, we are not interested in a single centimeter of the FBiH, nor do we want to impose anything on them, we only want what the Constitution gave us.

I offer to be in Sarajevo tomorrow at 10:00 AM if they want to talk. We are all ready for dialogue - Dodik stated.

- I came tonight to support our people in the RS, to tell them that Serbia is with them, without threatening anyone - said Vučić.

He says today is "a difficult day for the entire Serbian people."

- They lecture us on who should rule and how, and today a verdict was handed down in a senseless proceeding against the President of the RS, for something you can't even call a verbal offense - said Vučić.

He emphasizes that the verdict is "aimed against the Republika Srpska and the Serbian people as a whole."

- It is not easy for Dodik, nor for his family, wife, mother, daughter - stated Vučić.

He stressed that dialogue is needed.

- Today, the reality is completely different, everything has changed, both among the Serbian people and among members of all peoples, and that is not easy to overcome.

I conveyed to Dodik the conclusions of our Security Council. We will also have our Assembly where we will invite Dodik to address the deputies, and we will also discuss whether there is a need to hold a session of the UN Security Council - stated Vučić.

He asked all actors to be together.

- Because, when it comes to the progress of the RS, we need unity more than ever. I would ask all actors to hear my plea. The most important thing is to seek dialogue, even though I knew what would happen. It is only for me to tell them, and that is my message to the people in the RS.

Serbia will always be with the RS, with its people, we will support the President of the RS, the institution of the President of the RS, and personally Milorad Dodik - concluded Vučić.
