Dodik: We did not want escalation, but we are forced to, I recommend SIPA not to act, I will not run away from RS

(Patria) - The President of RS, Prime Minister of RS, and Speaker of the National Assembly of RS, Milorad Dodik, Radovan Višković, and Nenad Stevandić held a press conference regarding the order to appear at the Prosecutor's Office of BiH for the criminal offense of attack on the constitutional order.

"I tell the citizens of RS that I will never voluntarily come to that court and prosecutor's office in Sarajevo, solely because I do not trust them and do not expect a fair trial from them. I have done nothing to violate the Constitution of this country, but I am obliged to respect the Constitution and laws of RS.

I am not afraid of their harassment or persecution, go ahead and realize your threat. You are shooting blanks, but you are creating a situation where someone might shoot with a full gun.

Messages of peace are coming from RS, calls for dialogue, and all of that is being ignored. Isn't the attack on RS a classic attack on the constitutional order of BiH? They are trying to artificially claim that we are somehow subordinate to that court and prosecutor's office. Let any prosecutor in Banja Luka summon me today, I will respond to that summons.

What you are trying to do from Sarajevo, to carry out persecution and achieve a unitary BiH, which has been your war goal since the 90s, we cannot allow. We will fight. Our obligation is to defend the Constitution of RS. We are at the head of the institutions, and we will remain at the head of these institutions.

I assure all citizens who live here not to worry about their safety, their children, or their property. You are safer here than in the other entity," said Višković.

Stevandić said that the finalization of some Operation Laufer is underway, and all those who have legitimacy should be abolished.

"There is no fear, there is fear of endangering the lives and property of the citizens of RS because they are trying to take away our right to self-defense. We do not give up that right. Yesterday, in the afternoon, there was no one who didn't say that all of us should be arrested and that sessions should not be held. As for me personally, I have a desire and I have communicated with the Prosecutor's Office," said Stevandić.

He cited provisions according to which he has immunity as a member of the National Assembly.

"At this moment, the people who incite, who call for arrests, are violating the constitutional order, and their harassment is directed at our rights and the functions we perform, as well as the right to life. The Constitution of RS, which protects us, is harmonized with the Constitution of BiH. What is happening is a collaboration between Christian Schmidt and some extremist politicians from Sarajevo," he said.

Dodik said that today is a special day because it is his birthday.

"In Sarajevo, a joint Muslim endeavor has united with the bazaar to feed on this pursuit of us. It says here that they are urgently looking for us, as if we were Al-Qaeda. For us, it is a festive day, today we are establishing the Draft Constitution of RS. And then it goes into public debate.

What the joint Muslim endeavor of prosecutors and the bazaar, gathered around Čampara, Ćamil (Ćazim, ed.), is doing tells us that they are destroying Republika Srpska. They are violating the constitutional order of BiH because the Constitution of BiH states that only the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH can pass laws.

We will see what the factual situation will be in the end. We are not disturbed, we are very determined. The law on the control of the non-governmental sector has come into force.

Today, the National Assembly of RS is passing a new law establishing a special prosecutor's office and court for the protection of the constitutional order of RS. There is no blow that I am not prepared to endure for Republika Srpska. I will never leave RS. If anyone thinks I will leave, they are greatly mistaken.

I do not expect anyone to defend me, for anyone to sacrifice their life to defend me. We called for dialogue, now they are moving into a new phase because they are like that. We still have time for dialogue among domestic leaders. They are in a hurry because they are not sure about BiH either. BiH was not created to be a state on the internal level.

BiH could not agree on anything peacefully. All these years they have been destroying RS as a party in an effort to belittle it. BiH is not a country on the internal level. We did not want this escalation, but we are forced to. This is the defense of RS. I believe we have support. I call on people to give us even greater support. We have no right to comfort. Those who are defending something now are trying to create an international story," he said.

Dodik said that the police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of RS are being asked to arrest the three of them and hand them over to the "Muslim harassment."

"That Čampara has been given the task to take revenge. This Ćazim Hasanspahić is unknown to me, but if you are ready to persecute Serbs because we are of different faiths, you must know that our ancestors did not agree, and neither will you succeed. Once again, I will call on the people working there to make a decision. As for the leaders, we will hold a meeting tomorrow with all the leaders elected from the Serb people and see how we will proceed. If they are satisfied to see me in handcuffs, this Prosecutor's Office is carrying out the political orders of Muslims. I am glad that no Serb was found here to sign that order. There were some Serb prosecutors, regardless of whether they attended the meetings, I wish they had at least felt uncomfortable. RS remains committed to banning the work of unconstitutional institutions. I would not recommend SIPA to act, and I believe they will not. I am proud of all the deputies, I thank those who support my work, and I am glad that people are not burdened by this story. No one has a reason to be disturbed here. We will do everything accordingly. I will continue to sign decrees for the laws we pass. I am not afraid of Sarajevo," said Dodik.

He said that RS wants greater autonomy.

"We have a legitimate right to achieve that. That one commander from Romania is trying to advance his career here. His tanks are useless, eggs to the head are harder. He can hang his threats on a cat's tail.

In the coming days, I will meet with the Russian leadership and I will ask for the EUFOR mission to be shut down. They have also started talking about the Brčko District. How do you intend to change that? By force? Try it. The new Constitution of RS provides that the Brčko District is common property, and what are you opening this story for now?" he said.

He said that the Minister of Internal Affairs of RS is being threatened by EUFOR, then he said that it was not true but still made insults towards the EUFOR commander.

Dodik said that EUFOR does not have the mandate to arrest him and that he knows what their mandate is.
