Dodik not stopping: Establishing a prosecutor's office to prosecute those who do not respect the decisions of Republika Srpska institutions

(Patria) - The Collegium of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska has scheduled the 19th special session of the National Assembly for Wednesday, March 12, 2025, with one item on the agenda - the Proposal of a decision to proceed with the adoption of a new Constitution of Republika Srpska.

Following the conclusion of the special session, the 20th special session of the National Assembly has been scheduled, with two items on the agenda - the Draft Constitution of Republika Srpska and the Proposal of the Law on the Protection of the Constitutional Order of Republika Srpska – under an urgent procedure, proposed by the President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik.

The Proposal of the Law on the Protection of the Constitutional Order establishes the Special Prosecutor's Office of Republika Srpska for the protection of the constitutional order of Republika Srpska, as well as the Special Court of Republika Srpska for the protection of the constitutional order of Republika Srpska and other "state bodies".

Among the 21 criminal offenses foreseen by this law, it includes "Disrespecting or failing to implement decisions of the institutions or bodies of Republika Srpska." Among others, it defines criminal offenses such as espionage, sabotage, armed rebellion, and aiding the enemy.
