Dodik: I do not renounce my friendship with Čović, BiH's destiny is to be a community of three republics!

-Through numerous examples and meetings, I have built a friendship with Dragan Čović (President of HDZ BiH, editor's note) and I do not renounce that friendship, said Milorad Dodik, President of SNSD and RS, in an interview with Večernji list, reports Patria News Agency.

- I have a naturally good, built relationship with Čović, and in that regard, I have no doubts. Even when I act politically, I always keep in mind to protect Croats. Only those with ill intentions, and this personally affected me, could have qualified Sunday's meeting as a gathering against Croats. I am convinced that BiH, with the character of its constituent peoples, depends exclusively on good relations between Croats and Serbs - Dodik said.  

When it was stated that comments could be heard among Croats in BiH that Izetbegović and Dodik accelerated the establishment of a Croatian entity with Sunday's meeting, Dodik said he had nothing against it.

- I think that BiH's destiny is to clearly organize a third entity or federal unit and for BiH to be a state community of three republics, three peoples who predominantly have their territorial-political organization, and it is entirely logical that decisions at the BiH level are made by consensus.  

Dodik also said that he is ready to give prior consent for authorized representatives of the governments of 10 cantons and Brčko District to be included in Article 3 of the Coordination Mechanism, if that is the solution.
