Dodik after meeting with Stuart Peach: I don't think BiH needs an envoy

(Patria) - Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Milorad Dodik, after a meeting with British envoy Sir Stuart Peach, said he told him that the country needs internal dialogue. He added that he spoke to Peach about Serbian civilians killed during the NATO bombing.

Dodik stated that the British government envoy informed the three-member Presidency about his mission…

“And to encourage us towards dialogue. I do not think BiH needs an envoy. We need internal dialogue and no taboo topics. We should put all points on the agenda and reach a political agreement,” he stressed.

Sir Peach expressed regret during the conversation over the deaths of “56 or 59” British soldiers killed in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dodik revealed, and he told him that many Serbian civilians died from the NATO bombing.

“They should be equally mourned. There is no war in BiH, and the hysteria being created is completely unnecessary. RS acts in accordance with the Constitution and will not go against the Constitution,” said the member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina from the Serbian people.

Finally, he added that the Republika Srpska is a “factor and party” that must be respected in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and that it cannot be otherwise if one “wants to move forward.”
