Dodik: Perhaps I was too hasty with the decision to go all the way, I took a step back but the goal remained the same

(Patria) - Former leader of RS and president of SNSD, Milorad Dodik, addressed the attendees during the formal academy in Banja Luka tonight on the occasion of the unconstitutional day of RS, reflecting on the past year of his own politics.

He admitted that he was too hasty when he decided to "go all the way".

- They are forbidding us to celebrate January 9th. They think we will obey them, that we are afraid of them. History does not belong to those who are afraid, but to the strong and powerful. Our policy is not violence, our policy is peace.

This republic will not give up on these postulates. We will take a step back. Perhaps this time I was too hasty to go all the way. Perhaps I have changed my policy, but I have not changed my goal. BiH is an unwanted place today - said Dodik.

He also spoke about the motives and goals of the creation of the para-state RS.

- We did not form RS on January 9th to be part of BiH. We formed it to be independent. It existed until the Dayton Peace Agreement. The day it was initialed, it began to be dismantled.

The republic was defended decisively. It was not easy in previous years. They tried to decapitate RS. It seems to me that the most difficult activity was from two years ago, carried out by the American administration - stated Dodik.
