Dodik criticized Bećirović, commented on sanctions, and accused the US of pursuing anti-Serb policy

(Patria) - The president of the Republika Srpska entity, Milorad Dodik, addressed the media today after the visit of Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić. Dodik admitted that US sanctions are not easy, but that "the US is pursuing an anti-Serb policy".

At the beginning of his address, Dodik took the opportunity to criticize member of the BiH Presidency Denis Bećirović.

“We wanted to analyze everything we have done so far and the need to continue what has been started. We have also created new projects. The cooperation between RS and Serbia is not directed against anyone else here in BiH, as we have heard in recent days in BiH, questioning talks and agreements. This comes from those who sit in Sarajevo and, like Bećirović, try to lecture about history and the future,” Dodik said.

In his address to the media, Milorad Dodik admitted that US sanctions are not simple and easy. “The US is not the sole guarantor of the Dayton Peace Agreement, nor is it the sole interpreter,” he said, adding that they unilaterally, on orders from Sarajevo, try to position RS and Serbia on one side.

He also commented on the US sanctions.

“They decided to impose rigorous measures on RS. This was one of the topics we discussed, about sanctions that are not simple and not easy, coming from one of the largest countries in the world, pursuing an anti-Serb policy, to the extent that even today it maintains a negative status towards RS and Serbia. It started with the breakup of Yugoslavia before that.”

Dodik stated that “the US is not the sole guarantor of the Dayton Peace Agreement, nor is it the sole interpreter.”

“The United States is not the sole guarantor of the Dayton Peace Agreement, nor is it the sole interpreter, but they try to constantly bring Serbia and RS into a negative light. We are here to mark the remembrance of the suffering in Operation Storm. The Croats of that time did not hesitate to repeat the historical experience, and they repeated it in 1995, where nine civilians and four children died. No one was held accountable for that.”

“Others do not hesitate to attack our right and our ability to commemorate the victims,” Dodik added.

“Some in Sarajevo think they are in charge of the whole of BiH. BiH is composed of two entities. The sovereignty of Republika Srpska over 49 percent of BiH or 25,000 square kilometers is undisputed. RS has its executive power and is responsible for that territory,” Dodik emphasized.
