(Patria) - The President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik said that foreigners are considering that Republika Srpska will be an independent state, stating that the German government's special envoy for the Western Balkans, Manuel Sarrazin, told him such a thing.
"Sarrazin told me very seriously at the meeting that he knows Republika Srpska will be an independent state one day, but that his role is to make our lives difficult until then," Dodik told ATV.
Dodik stated that foreigners have recognized him as a synonym for serious politics that persists and does not change its fundamental goal.
"The fundamental goal is – give us the Dayton Agreement in what is our right and obligation. If you don't give us that, then it is completely logical for us to defend ourselves from all of that, and our defense is – then give us a peaceful separation because we do not want to suffer your dictatorship and we do not want your centralized, unitary Bosnia," said Dodik.
Dodik said that foreigners want to destroy the Dayton Agreement and seize the property of Republika Srpska.
"That's why the opposition is jumping, because they need to ensure that property is transferred to Sarajevo and that Sarajevo decides who gets the right to exploit resources," Dodik stated.
He added that attacks on Republika Srpska are also present due to the wealth of its land.
"Whatever we do, the Constitutional Court of BiH immediately jumps in and supposedly annuls it," said Dodik, adding that obstructions to the development of Republika Srpska are present daily.
