Dodik: Izetbegović said Radončić would be Minister of Security

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Milorad Dodik, president of the SNSD and Chairman of the Presidency of BiH, told the media today that nothing has been agreed yet, and that he does not accept any conditioning.

"The Council of Ministers is above all issues in BiH. The EU told us that if we form all levels of government we can get an opinion, and that is more important than the MAP. Mr. Izetbegović raised the issue of the MAP, but I said there is no conditioning," said Dodik, adding that there is no agreement on this and there will not be.

"There are no conditions here. We are not ready for any condition. Čović and I signed an earlier statement, he did not. Today we discussed the distribution of portfolios. Izetbegović demanded that the MAP be activated in some suspicious way, so that the current minister would give consent without the position of the Council of Ministers. That is an absolutely dangerous path. Izetbegović himself demanded to have the Minister of Defence, so is that the way he will decide?" said Dodik, adding that if someone unilaterally starts solving foreign policy problems, then that person is ready to cause a crisis in this country.

He stressed that as the SNSD they accepted three ministries in the Council of Ministers, and that one of the candidates will be from the Others category and that there are good cadres.

Dodik said that the SDA received the Ministry of Security and that Izetbegović said the minister would be Fahrudin Radončić.

The president of the SNSD said that he did not come "to solve Izetbegović's problems" and that a bad message is being sent because the government is not being formed.

„It is a shared responsibility, but I am sorry that we made a promise in Brussels, and the issue of government remains to be resolved," said Dodik.

He stressed that Izetbegović cannot choose SNSD candidates.

When asked whether he would talk by phone to resolve the open issues, as Dragan Čović and Izetbegović said today they would, Dodik said that he "has just spoken with Čović and has no problem with him."

Answering a question about whether the DF was mentioned during the meeting, Dodik said it was not, but that Radončić was mentioned as Minister of Security.

"I do not think that is bad. I do not allow anyone to choose my cadres and I do not meddle in what the SDA proposes," said Dodik.
