Dodik: Either we will reach a new agreement or there is nothing left of this country

(Patria) - Officials of the BiH entity Republika Srpska unanimously concluded that RS representatives in the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina should suspend decision-making on any matter within the competence of state bodies until a law on the Constitutional Court of BiH is adopted, which would not include foreign judges.

The President of Republika Srpska, Željka Cvijanović, said today that RS representatives in the institutions are suspending decision-making until a new law on the Constitutional Court is adopted. In practice, this means a blockade of work in BiH institutions.

This decision follows a meeting of entity officials, RS representatives in the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and leaders of parliamentary political parties, where the political situation in the entity and at the level of Bosnia and Herzegovina was discussed.

RS President Željka Cvijanović stated that it was unanimously concluded that it is necessary to urgently convene a session of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska to discuss issues related to the decisions of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which, as she noted, "deeply encroached on the identity of the RS, and now also on territorial and property issues."

"The Constitutional Court is an occupation court as far as the RS is concerned. We have agreed that no decisions will be made on any matter in BiH institutions, and we will not back down from that. On Monday, we will have an assembly and adopt several decisions. We believe that the judges of the Constitutional Court should leave; if they do not leave, the NSRS will decide to withdraw those it appointed from the Constitutional Court. So, simply put, either we will reach a new agreement or there is nothing left of this country," said BiH Presidency member Milorad Dodik to the media, as reported by N1.

The Constitutional Court of BiH, at the request of seven delegates from the Bosniak Club in the RS Council of Peoples, issued a decision declaring Article 53 of the RS Entity Law on Agricultural Land unconstitutional.

At the same session, the Constitutional Court also declared unconstitutional the provisions of Articles 3 and 4 of the RS Law on Inland Navigation. In the given explanation, the applicants referred to an earlier decision of the Constitutional Court on state property, as well as the Agreement on Succession.

The meeting was attended by RS President Željka Cvijanović, BiH Presidency member Milorad Dodik, NSRS President Nedeljko Čubrilović, RS Prime Minister Radovan Višković, Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina Zoran Tegeltija, President of the RS Constitutional Court Džerard Selman, as well as RS representatives in the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina and political parties.
