Dodik and Lukić to appear before BiH Court today

(Patria) - The trial of Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik and acting Director of the Official Gazette of Republika Srpska Miloš Lukić, who are charged with non-compliance with the High Representative's decisions, should continue today at the BiH Court.

According to the trial schedule published on the official website of the BiH Court, the hearing for the accused Dodik and Lukić is scheduled for today from 1 PM to 4 PM before judge Sena Uzunović.

After multiple postponements, the main hearing against Dodik opened on February 5, and against Lukić on February 13, as the proceedings against them were temporarily separated at the January 17 hearing, after Lukić failed to attend the trial for health reasons.

In the meantime, Lukić's defense requested the consolidation of proceedings, and Dodik's defense submitted a proposal for the recusal of BiH Court judge Sena Uzunović, who is engaged in this case instead of the previous judge Mirsad Strika, who is retiring soon.

Otherwise, the opening of the main hearing against Dodik and Lukić was supposed to take place in December last year, but it was postponed several times for procedural reasons, i.e., due to repeated requests from the defense, which insisted on moving the trial from Sarajevo to Banja Luka, and then on the recusal of judges and prosecutors. These requests were ultimately rejected by the Court as unfounded or inadmissible.
