Dodik and Džaferović received the President of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Duda

(Patria) - Chairman of the BiH Presidency Milorad Dodik and member of the BiH Presidency Šefik Džaferović received the President of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Duda. At the beginning of the meeting, satisfaction was expressed with President Duda's visit and the conviction that today's meeting will provide a basis for further strengthening cooperation in all areas, especially in the economic sphere. The Republic of Poland strongly supports the European path of Bosnia and Herzegovina and will continue to provide support in the next stages of the path to EU membership, said President Duda. The relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Poland are friendly and without open issues, and as such, they represent a basis for the development of overall bilateral relations. Additional efforts need to be made to increase foreign trade and cooperation on infrastructure projects of common interest.

"Through its engagement in the Visegrad Group, as well as other initiatives and organizations, the Republic of Poland has provided strong political support to Bosnia and Herzegovina in the process of accession to the European Union. Members of the BiH Presidency expressed gratitude for the support so far and expectations that it will continue in the future. Members of the BiH Presidency informed President Duda about the political situation in the country and reiterated their commitment to the country's European path and the continuation of the reform process, in order to create favorable conditions for accelerated economic development. They expressed hope that the opinion of the European Commission will be positive, and that the member states of the European Union will grant BiH candidate status as soon as possible. Candidate status for BiH's membership in the EU would bring new dynamics to the country's reform path and an opportunity for new development projects," the BiH Presidency announced.
