Dodik and Džaferović received General Joseph L. Lengyel

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Chairman of the Presidency of BiH Milorad Dodik and member of the Presidency of BiH Šefik Džaferović received a delegation of the Bureau of the National Guard of the United States of America, led by the Bureau Chief, General Joseph Lengyel.

On this occasion, the members of the Presidency of BiH expressed gratitude to the Government of the USA for its long-standing support in the reform of BiH's defense and for its continuous assistance in reform processes. They also highlighted the successful cooperation and assistance, through several programs, that the Armed Forces of BiH have had during 15 years of successful cooperation, which continues, with the National Guard of the State of Maryland within the State Partnership Program. The interlocutors emphasized their expectations that this cooperation will be extended to the civilian and business sectors, and General Lengyel expressed interest in the successful establishment of cooperation between the BiH Armed Forces and the national guards of other US federal states.

General Joseph L. Lengyel specifically thanked the members of the Presidency of BiH for the engagement of the BiH Armed Forces in numerous peacekeeping missions in Mali, Congo, and the Central African Republic, as well as in Iraq and Afghanistan, in which, in those two missions alone, 454 members of the BiH Armed Forces have participated so far, together with US Army troops.

The members of the Presidency of BiH informed General Joseph L. Lengyel about the political situation in BiH and the process of forming government at all levels.
