Dodik and Čović read by diplomats in BiH: Little Milošević and even smaller Tuđman

The relationship between SNSD and HDZ is permeated by the relationship between party leaders Milorad Dodik and Dragan Čović. Almost all political and other actions of this duo are directed against BiH. Precisely because of this, the embassies of Canada, France, Germany, Japan, the Netherlands, Spain, Turkey, the United Kingdom, the United States, the OHR, and the OSCE have expressed deep concern due to, as they stated, the obvious fact that there is no genuine interest in HDZ BiH and SNSD in implementing the decision of the Constitutional Court of BiH on the Law on Criminal Procedure of BiH.

"It is clear that they are not concerned that their inaction will seriously jeopardize the fight against corruption and organized crime in BiH," stated the diplomats in their announcement. Through the amendments proposed by HDZ BiH, HDZ and SNSD are fighting for the adoption of amendments to the Law on Criminal Procedure in the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH that are not in line with international standards, and they oppose amendments that meet those standards and would ensure the effective work of prosecutor's offices and courts at the BiH level. Furthermore, the reaction states, they have created procedural obstacles in the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH for the adoption of any amendments to the Law on Criminal Procedure.”

Of course, Čović and Dodik have so far managed to avoid punishment through political pressure after being suspected or prosecuted for crime and corruption. All that they are doing around the Law on Criminal Procedure is aimed at protecting themselves under the law.      

Dodik called the diplomats' statement the most brutal interference in the internal affairs of BiH. The truth is that no one can interfere more brutally in the internal affairs of BiH than Dodik and Čović.

The international community is clear about many things in the policies of Dodik and Čović. Kurt Bassuener from the Center for Democracy Policy is one of the witnesses who testified before the US Congressional Commission about the situation in the Western Balkans and BiH in particular: "We will not allow violence to be used against you ever again, and we will show it. We will not allow the country to fall apart. We will protect your right to demonstrate against the political elite," Bassuener said, among other things.

This has been the clearest and most unambiguous message to the people of Bosnia and Herzegovina so far. National leaders would repeat the history of war and crime. They would again try to fulfill long-standing fascistic ideas of Greater-state projects. The youth of the Western Balkans are not leaving only because of unemployment. They are leaving because of fear for their lives. Even their parents, who know what kind of horror it was here, want their children to leave this country.  

It is already being said that it is possible for Dodik and Čović to be in the Presidency of BiH. Today in Sarajevo, there is a joke about a Serb-Croatian member of the Presidency of BiH. Milorad Dodik, a politician on the US blacklist, wants to be the head of state. This is another ugly attempt to deceive Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Čović is the only politician who visited Dodik immediately after the announcement. That kind of closeness is destructive to BiH.    

Serbia and Croatia are feigning animosity and tension to the world. This is an old idea practiced by Milošević and Tuđman that everything must be sacrificed for the peace of Serbia and Croatia, and only good relations between Serbia and Croatia mean peace for the region. The world has long since seen through this failed political crime, with its long-ago crimes. Everything here is false, just as their conflict was falsified with thousands sacrificed among their peoples.

Dodik is the favorite of Serbian President Vučić, Čović is the favorite of Kolinda Grabar Kitarović.        

Dušan Bilandžić, a partisan and associate of Josip Broz Tito, was a long-time close friend of Tuđman. When, before his death, he spoke about the absurd and criminal agreement between Tuđman and Milošević on the division of BiH, a desperate journalist remarked: "But in Bosnian Posavina, Croats and Serbs were fighting."

Bilandžić replied: "That was the greatest absurdity. Milošević and Tuđman organized those armed battles for Bosnian Posavina. At that time, I thought and asked: why are you allowing soldiers to die in Posavina when it had already been handed over to Serbia. Tuđman then fumbled something to the effect that it was necessary to pretend that it was won by fighting. On one occasion, he even said that the impression should not be given that it was surrendered without a fight.”

Bosnia and Herzegovina triumphed with enormous sacrifices and destruction of the Greater-state projects of Serbia and Croatia from 1992 to 1995. Today, Vučić and Grabar Kitarović are trying to hide their policies from the similarity with Milošević and Tuđman. But their subordinates in Bosnia have the task of not giving up.
