Dodik forms government in RS, blocks all processes in FBiH with Čović!?

Ahead of tomorrow's session of the House of Peoples of the FBiH Parliament, where the president and vice-presidents of the Federation of BiH (Marinko Čavar, Melika Mahmutbegović and Slobodan Šoja) are to be appointed, the SDP BiH unexpectedly issued a press release emphasizing that this party is not discussing the distribution of executive positions with anyone, writes the Patria news agency. 

According to information we received during the day from sources in several parties, behind this statement is the current Vice President of FBiH, Svetozar Pudarić, as party president Nermin Nikšić is out of the country. 

- Although SDP delegates in the House of Peoples in the Serb Club said they have no objection, regardless of the fact that this club is not fully filled because Serb delegates are missing, to vote for the proposed candidates for the positions of president and vice-presidents of FBiH, Pudarić is trying to block tomorrow's appointments in the House of Peoples.

Of course, all under the pretext that the Serb Club must be fully filled first, and only then elect the vice president from the Serb people. His only goal is to block everything so that he can stay in office as long as possible, because he will have no political relevance once the new executive authority is elected, explain our interlocutors involved in today's inter-party consultations. 

In addition to the SDP, i.e., Pudarić and several of his like-minded individuals from this party, trying to block the election of the new executive authority, the most loyal political partner of Dragan Čović, SNSD leader Milorad Dodik, has also meddled in this whole story. It is unclear whether Pudarić and his team are acting in sync with this duo, or whether their recklessness is simply playing into their hands in realizing a plan called blockade. 

Allegedly, according to speculations that have emerged, at tomorrow's session, the proposal for the vice president of FBiH, regardless of the fact that the coalition consists of SDA, HDZ and DF, parties that have already reached an agreement on these positions, could be Dodik's man Mile Marčeta, a delegate in the House of Peoples.  

Given the strong connection between Čović and Dodik, it should not be surprising if HDZ delegates, all 13 of them, support this proposal instead of Slobodan Šoja, who was proposed as a non-party figure by DF. 

If that happens, it is quite certain that SDA delegates in the Bosniak Club, all 10 of them, will not support Marčeta. This will lead to a blockade, which will delay the formation of the new executive authority. The question is who benefits from this. 

Incidentally, the election of the president and vice-presidents of the Federation of BiH requires a majority in the House of Peoples, but also a majority in each club.
