Dodik: I will give a statement, but not in Sarajevo because I don't want to risk my life after Izetbegović's messages

RS President Milorad Dodik held a press conference today in Banja Luka where he spoke about the invitation for questioning that the BiH Prosecutor's Office sent him yesterday, writes the Patria news agency.

Dodik said that the invitation was sent to him under pressure from Bakir Izetbegović.

-I have not yet received that invitation. Perhaps it arrived at my home address. The only provision related to the judiciary in the Constitution is related to the Constitutional Court, which should have resolved the issue of foreigners after five years and passed a law, said Dodik, adding that nothing has been done.

-Foreigners were retained in the Court, and the law was never passed. In that regard, it is clear that the Court and the Prosecutor's Office are unconstitutional, Dodik emphasized.

The RS President said that he would respond to the Prosecutor's Office's invitation.

-I will respond to the Prosecutor's Office's invitation, but not in Sarajevo, but anywhere in RS, wherever they designate the location. I am ready to give a statement regarding this whole farce. I am tasked with representing RS and its unity, which is reflected through the functioning of the system's institutions. I learned from the media that my guilt is for supporting the referendum, said Dodik, emphasizing that no one else received an invitation for questioning.

- I will not go to "federal Sarajevo", but I am ready to come anywhere in RS and give that statement. I am ready for cooperation, but I am not ready to risk my life after Izetbegović's claims that I should end up like Gaddafi. That is an invitation to extreme Bosniak groups that fought in ISIL, which his father described in the Islamic Declaration, that's how I understand it. My team of lawyers will see if there are grounds for a lawsuit, said Dodik.
