Dodik: Congratulations on the great victory

(Patria) - After SNSD candidate for mayor of Doboj Boris Jerinić declared victory, a press conference was held at which SNSD leader Milorad Dodik addressed the public.

“I arrived less than an hour ago in Doboj, my colleagues have been here for several days, and all of that is permitted and part of the democratic system of conduct, except for the attempts at speculation that have persisted all this time in an effort to portray Doboj as a city of chance. I congratulate you on the great victory that was needed and had to dispel all speculation regarding the electoral process. Thank you to everyone who worked devotedly on this. Various things were attributed, but today we see the victory, a phenomenal victory of our candidate, and we see that those were false speculations,” said Dodik.

“Today we reaffirm our integration here and confirm all projects – from the hospital, bypass road, sports hall, schools, kindergartens, and everything we are doing, as well as the fight for jobs. The first results for our party list indicate that SNSD will be able to form a parliamentary majority, and we have a mayor who will work on all of that as a team,” he added.

In his address, Dodik also thanked the citizens of Doboj, who, as he said, have witnessed various situations these days.

“They saw various black jeeps that were supposed to manifest something else, but the citizens rose above that. No one can now claim that there was anything that jeopardised the fair and honest elections in which Boris Jerinić won, and SNSD will remain committed to Doboj and will repay Doboj with its attention for the support it gave,” he emphasised.

He reiterated that there was undoubtedly pressure to “portray the city of Doboj as a case” and that there are winners and those who are defeated. The SNSD leader stressed that all citizens of Doboj, regardless of how they voted, should benefit from this victory.
