Good cooperation between BiH and Montenegro in all areas

PODGORICA, (Patria) - Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina have excellent cooperation in all areas, especially in the fight against cross-border crime and migration, and tourism. This was highlighted at a panel discussion at the Atlantic Alliance of Montenegro in Podgorica, which was attended by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of BiH, Igor Crnadak.

Crnadak said that after resolving the so-called "Sutorina" case and signing the Border Agreement, BiH and Montenegro have no significant outstanding issues, and that it is of enormous importance for peace and lasting stability that regional relations in the Western Balkans are constantly progressing.

"There will certainly be no war in the former Yugoslavia. There is now a different security concept," said Crnadak.

Regarding NATO, Minister Crnadak stated that the Presidency of BiH made a decision for BiH to enter the MAP, as well as the Foreign Policy Strategy, according to which cooperation between BiH and NATO is defined as an important partnership by 2023, without opening the issue of full membership.

"Due to the decision of the ruling coalition at the level of Republika Srpska to reconsider their support for the MAP, an atmosphere has been created in which it is impossible to expect the current BiH Council of Ministers to decide on the activation of the MAP. The decision on the First Annual National Program will either be adopted or definitively rejected by the political structure that forms the new BiH Council of Ministers," concluded Minister Crnadak.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of BiH is optimistic when it comes to the expansion of the European Union to the Western Balkans. He does not think that Brussels has become alienated, but rather, he believes, it is a matter of the pre-election period for the European Parliament.
