Tasked by foreigners: Dodik seeks a new prime minister

Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik has been tasked by foreigners to initiate the process of reconstructing the Government of Republika Srpska by the end of September, in order to preserve his current political position, reports the Patria News Agency.

However, according to Istina's sources close to Dodik's inner circle, he is facing great difficulties because he cannot currently find a sufficiently qualified person within his party who could successfully meet the challenge of the prime ministerial job during a severe crisis.

Our source claims that since it became clear that Željka Cvijanović must leave that position, several "candidates" are literally "circling" Dodik in order to gain his favor.

– One promises the moon, another believes that after 15 years of loyal service to the party, he deserves the opportunity to try as prime minister, a third is offering a large sum of money for the position, a fourth is trying to blackmail with votes.

There are also people from other parties who are on good terms with the president, so they presumably believe that is enough to be nominated for the prime minister position. Because of all this, Dodik is quite nervous because he is aware that none of these candidates are capable of pulling the country out of the crisis.

Zoran Stevanović, the mayor of Zvornik municipality and Dodik's long-time close associate, whose name has been mentioned for months as a solution for the position of Prime Minister of RS, is having major problems in Zvornik and is now trying to escape from there, no more and no less than to Banja Luka, to the prime ministerial position – says Istina's source.
