List of companies to participate in EXPO by Friday, who among officials will be in Dubai on December 18

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - By Friday, it should be known how many companies have applied and for how many of them participation in EXPO Dubai has been approved, with costs to be covered by the Sarajevo Canton. Applications ended on December 1.

“The call ended a few days ago, a Commission was formed, as we announced, which will review the applications in the second phase,” responded the Ministry of Economy of Sarajevo Canton to Patria’s inquiry.

The Ministry of Economy of Sarajevo Canton will finance a support package for selected business entities for participation.

Among other things, the support package includes an airline ticket, visa and travel insurance for one person, five nights in a hotel, an interpreter, a guide, and many other administrative and technical services.

Although the Ministry of Economy of Sarajevo Canton earlier announced that in the first phase of selection it would publish a list of business entities that applied online via a web application with total points achieved, this did not happen.

All business entities not selected through this call can participate in the World Expo EXPO 2020 Dubai at their own expense.

“The Ministry of Economy of Sarajevo Canton, through the organizer of the World Expo EXPO 2020 Dubai, will cover the costs of renting the pavilion space of Bosnia and Herzegovina for business entities that do not pass the call, and they will accordingly be able to use it for meetings according to available slots,” Minister Adnan Delić previously specified.

Business entities that attend this fair at their own expense will have support from the organizer EXPO Dubai 2020 LLC-SO at the BiH pavilion, which includes a hall for holding B2B meetings according to available slots, equipment in the hall, an LED screen for presentations, a computer, internet, printer, IT support, and administrative support for procedures and registrations in the B2B application.

The EXPO fair started on October 1 and will last until the end of March.

It is still not known which officials will appear in Dubai on December 18 and in what capacity when the national day of BiH is marked. According to unofficial information, these should be representatives of the Sarajevo Canton.

For participation in EXPO, more than 4 million KM will be paid from the Budget of Sarajevo Canton.
