Tender for construction of bridge over the Tara River by the end of July

(Patria) - A tender for the selection of a contractor for the construction of an interstate bridge over the Tara River at the junction of the main road at the Šćepan Polje location will be announced by the end of July.

This was stated today by the Minister of Communications and Transport of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Edin Forto, after a bilateral meeting with the Minister of Transport and Maritime Affairs of Montenegro, Filip Radulović.

- This will be a joint project of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro, the implementation of which will finally make the legend of a new road and bridge at this location a reality.

The Bosnian side has committed to building a section of the access road one kilometer long, while the Montenegrin side will build a 2.5-kilometer section - explained Forto.

According to Minister Radulović, the construction of the bridge will solve the long-standing problem of the inadequate bridge connecting Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro and improve the transport link between the two countries.

The construction of the bridge will be jointly financed by Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro.
