Almost Half a Million Citizens Voted by 11 AM

Polling stations in BiH opened on time this morning, or with minor or major delays due to technical reasons. However, voter turnout compared to four years ago has increased, and by 11 AM, 14.22 percent of people, or 458,958 people, had voted, the Central Election Commission of BiH announced, reports the BiH news agency Patria. 

The highest turnout was recorded in Banovići - 32.74 percent, Trnovo - 28.84 percent, Sokolac - 27 percent, and Ugljevik - 24 percent.

"For the general elections, 3,278,908 voters are registered, of which 9,926 are absentee, 42,132 abroad, and 214 at diplomatic-consular missions in two BiH embassies in Vienna and Berlin, and three consulates in Germany. A total of 5,401 polling stations have been formed, of which 107 are for absentee voting and four with unconfirmed ballots. A total of 270 mobile teams have been formed," said Stjepan Mikić, president of the Central Election Commission of BiH.

Regarding observers, 5,760 election observers have been registered, while 142 municipal and city commissions have accredited 55,000 observers from political entities.
