Indictment Partially Confirmed for Suspects in Crimes against Bosniaks in Zecovi Village

The Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina partially confirmed on 23 January 2015 the indictment charging Dušan Milunić, Radomir Stojnić, Radovan Četić, Duško Zorić, Zoran Stojnić, Željko Grbić, Ilija Zorić, Zoran Milunić, Boško Grujičić, Ljubiša Četić, Rade Grujčić, Uroš Grujčić, Zdravko Antonić and Rajko Gnjatović with the criminal offence of crimes against humanity in the village of Zecovi near Prijedor, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria.

- The indictment states, among other things, that in the period from 23 to 28 July 1992, within the framework of a widespread and systematic attack by the army and police of the Serbian Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina directed against the Bosniak population of the village of Zecovi, Prijedor municipality, namely: Dušan Milunić as commander of the Rasavci Company operating within the 6th Battalion of the 43rd Brigade of the Army of Republika Srpska; Radomir Stojnić as commander of the Reserve Police Station Rasavci; Radovan Četić as president of the SDS and the Crisis Staff for the village of Rasavci, and the other accused as members of the said company, knowingly and significantly participated in a joint criminal enterprise of the civilian and military authorities of Prijedor municipality, with the intention of persecuting persons of Bosniak and Croat ethnicity, which aimed at murder, forced displacement, torture, imprisonment, etc.

As a consequence of the joint criminal enterprise in the area of Zecovi village, at least 150 civilians of Bosniak ethnicity were killed, 30 in camps in the area of Prijedor municipality, while the remaining civilians were killed at other locations and under other circumstances after the persecution from Zecovi village.
