Children's works in the Municipality of Centar calendar for 2015

In the Municipality of Centar, members of the expert commission selected the 13 most beautiful children's art works that will adorn the Municipality of Centar calendar for 2015, reports the BH news agency Patria.

A total of 65 submitted works on the theme "My Family" were reviewed, created in various painting techniques, authored by elementary school students from the Centar area and participants of the kindergarten of the Public Institution "Djeca Sarajeva" and the Center for Hearing and Speech Rehabilitation.

This year's works were judged by Commission members: Andrea Mekić, art historian, Mensur Porović, academic painter, and Aleksandar Saša Bukvić, academic sculptor.

- When it comes to selecting children's works, it is never an easy task. Every work has something special, childlike, and interesting in it, so every artwork deserves to be included in the municipal calendar. We regret that we cannot include all the works in the calendar. We had to select one artwork from each school. In any case, it will be a beautiful calendar – said Andrea Mekić.

On the occasion of November 25th - Statehood Day of Bosnia and Herzegovina, an exhibition of these works will be organized in the premises of JU Centar za kulturu Sarajevo (Jelića 1). The opening of the exhibition is planned for Friday, November 21, 2014.
