Boy Mersad from Zavidovići lost his battle for life

Boy Mersad Kurtalić (16) from Zavidovići passed away this morning at 4:20 AM in a hospital in Genoa, where he was transferred on the night between Monday and Tuesday after sustaining injuries in a generator explosion, the University Clinical Center Sarajevo (UKCS) told the Patria news agency.

The Clinical Center was officially informed this morning that Mersad had lost his battle for life, UKCS stated.

We remind you that the transport of the severely injured boy was enabled by the Vice President of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mirsad Kebo, in cooperation with the University Clinical Center Sarajevo (UKCS), in an attempt to help the unfortunate boy.

He sustained burns to 65% of his body, as well as burns to his respiratory organs and lungs in the explosion.
