Dizdar and Nikšić received one of the attacked youths from Stolac: We believe the perpetrators will be quickly identified and punished

(Patria) - Federal Minister for Displaced Persons and Refugees Nerin Dizdar stated that, together with the Prime Minister of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina Nermin Nikšić, he received one of the youths from Stolac this morning who were beaten last night in the company of his father.

"The Prime Minister and the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina have actively engaged in the case of the attack on the young men from Stolac, and we expect the responsible parties to be brought to justice quickly. Since this morning, I have personally informed all key representatives of the international community in BiH about the incident, to whom I thank for their support and engagement.

We are in constant communication with representatives of the competent authorities, from FUP to local authorities. One of the positive aspects of this disturbing event is that citizens have become involved and are making a significant contribution to the efforts to shed light on the entire event. Due to all of the above, taking into account the information made available to us, we believe that the perpetrators of the crime will be identified in a short period of time.

The sanctions for the perpetrators must be as severe as possible, so that this case serves as an example and, hopefully, deters some future hooligans and thugs from committing similar misdeeds.

As difficult as it may be, I call on citizens to be patient, while refraining from any form of inappropriate reaction or response. It is up to the institutions to react," stated Dizdar.

FK Iskra Stolac confirmed that the three attacked youths are their footballers, and that everything happened upon their return from Mostar. There was also one minor with them. They were beaten by a group of about ten hooligans, and according to Iskra, they were Zrinjski fans.
