Moving letter from Tuzla to Teletović: Freedom is with you, you are brave and determined

Mirza Teletović, member of the NBA team Brooklyn Nets and Bosnian basketball team captain, is currently in a very difficult phase of life, after it was established that he suffers from pulmonary embolism, writes the Patria news agency.

Mirza certainly does not lack support arriving from all over the world, especially from our country. However, Mirza was particularly touched by one from Tuzla. Namely, OKK Sloboda Tuzla sent a letter of support to Teletović, for which Mirza thanked them from the heart.

It is known that Mirza arrived at KK Sloboda at the age of 14 and that his fondest emotions are tied to Tuzla. The letter states, among other things:

- The news of your illness has shaken the entire basketball world, especially us in Tuzla and Sloboda, the city and club where you began your professional career. We will never forget what you did for our club, city, and our country. We are eternally grateful for the popularization of basketball and for representing our country in the world, for your fight and patriotism – the letter reads.

It further states „that we in Tuzla and Sloboda proudly say „Mirza is ours“, ours in good times and bad. Now, in a difficult period, know that we are with you more than ever“.

- To overcome the obstacles that have befallen you, one needs a lot of courage and determination, but if there is anyone in the world capable of doing it, then it is you, brave and determined Mirza Teletović – it is stated.
