Director of KJKP Pokop files reports over credit debt of one million marks and salary increases for certain employees

(Patria) - KJKP Pokop today issued a press release clarifying the state of the company after director Nedžad Holjan took over management in March 2024.

"When the current director Nedžad Holjan took over management in March 2024, he found a company that, for the first time in its history, was in a loss of nearly one million KM. In less than a year of the new management's mandate, the loss was remedied and a profit was achieved. This shows that with a prudent, transparent, and responsible approach, a good result can be achieved in any company.

The current director, Nedžad Holjan, guided by the principles of legality and ethics in work, has so far filed two reports regarding irregularities he found in KJKP Pokop. The first concerns a credit debt of one million KM that was carried out without the consent of the Supervisory Board, although this was necessary according to the company's Statute. Regarding the circumstances of this report, Pokop has already provided the necessary information to police inspectors, who, in cooperation with other institutions, are conducting an investigation," state from KJKP Pokop.

From this company, they welcome the swift reaction and work to establish all facts and responsible persons.

"The second report concerns irregularities observed in the case of salary increases for certain employees of KJKP Pokop, through amendments to the Rulebook on Job Classification without that decision being made by the company's management, which is its jurisdiction. Without going into the individual names of those whose salaries were increased in this way, in addition to procedural omissions, the fact stated in the report stands out, namely that no prior analysis of justification was carried out on which such a move would be based.

The current management of KJKP Pokop, led by director Nedžad Holjan, will continue to responsibly do its job, and all observed irregularities of previous managements will be reported to the competent institutions," they state.

The work of the new management was inspected several times during 2024, and no irregularities were observed, nor any penalties imposed.

KJKP Pokop takes this opportunity to inform citizens that funeral service prices have not been increased, but it is true that the Sarajevo Canton Government, as the founder of the company that sets these prices, is conducting activities in this direction, given that the current service prices were determined 28 years ago.

The Patria News Agency has already written about this million-credit, and the then director Samir Kurtanović was appointed to another position in KJKP Rad.
