High-level ICITAP delegation visits Directorate

(Patria) - Director of the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies of BiH Enes Karić and his deputies Đuro Knežević and Goran Amidžić received a high-level delegation led by Assistant Director of the International Criminal Investigative Training Assistance Program at the U.S. Department of Justice (ICITAP) for Europe-Eurasia Stephen Fields and ICITAP Law Enforcement Assistance Attaché for the Balkans Tyler E. Truby.

Karić informed the guests about the competencies and tasks performed daily by the Directorate's officers. He also highlighted the importance of the Directorate as one of the police agencies at the state level and its role in the security system of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

He also stated that the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies of BiH continuously works on building and strengthening its own capacities, with significant support from ICITAP in BiH, both in terms of material and technical equipment and in organizing and implementing training for police officers.

Assistant Director Stephen Fields emphasized that the International Criminal Investigative Training Assistance Program of the U.S. Department of Justice (ICITAP) has been present in BiH since 1996, helping domestic law enforcement agencies develop and improve their work. The ICITAP program is committed to implementing projects of mutual interest in partnership with domestic police agencies, including planning, developing curricula, organizing training and seminars, donating equipment, and providing mentoring and technical advice.

On this occasion, Director Karić presented the guests with letters of appreciation and plaques for their support and selfless assistance in building the Directorate's capacities, expressing confidence that this successful cooperation will continue in the future.
