Diplomatic Bazaar Attracts Numerous Guests

(Patria) - The Embassy of the State of Qatar participated in the prestigious Diplomatic Winter Bazaar 2024, which was held today, December 7, in the "Mirza Delibašić" hall at Skenderija.

According to the organizers, the primary goal is to raise funds again to support children and youth in need throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Alongside more than 50 embassies and international organizations, the State of Qatar was also represented at the Winter Bazaar, showcasing its culture, food, and special messages from the Gulf country.

In addition to the ambassadors of numerous participating countries at the Diplomatic Bazaar, the stand of the Embassy of the State of Qatar was also visited by Mrs. Mirela Bećirović, the wife of the member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Denis Bećirović.

"The Embassy of the State of Qatar in Bosnia and Herzegovina participates with other friends from accredited embassies and international and local organizations in activities that contribute to the support of non-governmental and civil associations that care for children," said the Qatari Ambassador to Sarajevo, H.E. Meshaal Ali Mohammad Abdullah Al-Attiyah.

He added that Qatar presented, among other things, items that in a certain way reflect the values of its country's culture. There were also toys for children, and some types of food specific to the State of Qatar and the Middle East.

"I hope we will achieve excellent results at the bazaar, especially since the Bosnian people are known for their humanity and providing assistance as much as possible. We also wish to continue participating in charitable work aimed at supporting all those in need in Bosnia and Herzegovina," Ambassador Al-Attiyah conveyed.

Volunteer members of the Organizing Committee of the Diplomatic Winter Bazaar for 2024 are: David Badower (Sweden), Ilona Stölken (Germany), Tanya Messerli (Switzerland), Piet Bakker (Netherlands), Madeline Ben Atiković (Philippines), and Dorina Kolici (Albania).

Last year, 270,000 KM was raised at the Diplomatic Winter Bazaar, and this year they hope to achieve record results. The Diplomatic Winter Bazaar is a non-profit organization of the international community led by volunteers.
