Dealers attacked FUP officers, arrested after crashing off the road during pursuit

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Federal Police Administration officers, while carrying out measures and actions within their jurisdiction on January 10 this year, conducted an operational action "Trag" in the Canton of Sarajevo, and arrested two individuals identified as F.N. (1978) and N.N. (1983) from Sarajevo, suspected of committing several criminal offenses: "Attack on an official person in the performance of security duties" under Article 359 of the Criminal Code of FBiH, "Prevention of an official person from performing an official act" under Article 358 of the Criminal Code of FBiH, "Damage to another's property" under Article 293 of the Criminal Code of FBiH, "Endangering traffic" under Article 332 of the Criminal Code of FBiH, all in connection with the criminal offense of "Unauthorized production and trafficking of narcotic drugs" under Article 238, paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Police officers, while carrying out measures and actions within their jurisdiction, attempted to control a motor vehicle occupied by the suspects, due to suspicion of involvement in illegal drug trafficking. The individuals ignored clear warnings from police officers and accelerated towards them, injuring one police officer and causing damage to an official motor vehicle. While fleeing, the suspects discarded a bag containing a substance suspected to be the narcotic drug amphetamine, mobile phones, and other items that could be linked to the commission of this criminal offense into the Bosna River.

Following a police pursuit and a crash off the road due to excessive speed and inappropriate driving in the municipality of Ilijaš, the suspects were apprehended. Under the supervision of the duty prosecutor of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Sarajevo Canton and by order of the Municipal Court in Sarajevo, a search of the vehicle they were using and the surrounding area was conducted, during which items related to the criminal offenses in question were found.

During the criminal investigation at the premises of the Federal Police Administration, the apprehended individuals admitted to transporting approximately 2 kg of narcotic drugs that day and discarding it.

These individuals are repeat offenders, and after the criminal investigation, they were handed over to the jurisdiction of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Sarajevo Canton.
