On the official website of Manchester City, the current Premiership champions and the club of our Edin Džeko, voting has begun for the footballer of the past season, writes the news agency Patria.
The voting started today at noon, and fans will be able to vote for the next seven days. In the official selection of the Manchester club, Džeko is among the four players who will compete for the final title. They are Yaya Toure, David Silva, and Pablo Zabaleta.
On the very first day, Džeko has a significant lead judging by the number of likes and shares of his name as a candidate on social networks. The link where Džeko is presented has been shared 3,815 times.
With these shares, he is far ahead of his teammates, with Toure having 935, Silva 406, and Zabaleta 282 shares.
The winner will be announced in August this year, and Džeko had a great season at his club, scoring the most important goals for winning the second title in the last three years, NAP reports.
