Đidić: Due to imperial ambitions, Orban has an obsessive desire to partition Bosnia and Herzegovina

(Patria) - Far from the eyes of the political public in Bosnia and Herzegovina, two mutually similar, if not essentially identical, processes are taking place - the intensive colonisation of the Republika Srpska, and, quite certainly, the irreversible colonisation of Herzegovina.

This was stated in his opening address by diplomatic analyst Fuad Đidić at the session of "Krug 99" on the topic "Hungarian colonisation of the RS entity and the partition of BiH".

"The true masters and protagonists of this colonisation are, on one side, Viktor Orbán, Trump's 'envoy for Europe', and, on the other side, Amir Gross Kabiri, 'the Zionist envoy and commissioner' of Benjamin Netanyahu for Bosnia and Herzegovina. The most loyal allies of these two protagonists are – Dodik, who covers all processes of economic 'breakthrough' with national Serbian interests, and, on the other side, Čović, who covers all processes of economic and political 'enslavement' and colonisation with national Croatian interests," Đidić emphasised.

As he says: "Dodik's most loyal followers believe they are working for the interests of the 'Serbian world', but in fact, they are working for the interests of Orbán and his vision of elevating Hungary into a great European power with ambitions to reclaim territories lost after the defeat in WWII. Orbán, in his vision of a 'new Hungary', relies on the mineral basin of the Republika Srpska. Findings of the Swiss company 'Arcore AG' from the summer of 2023 showed that, just in Lopari on the slopes of Majevica, there are 1.5 million tons of lithium (LCA), 14 million tons of boric acid, 35 million tons of potassium, and 94 million tons of magnesium. The total value of these deposits exceeds an incredible 15 billion euros."

"The Hungarian press reports Orbán's statement that Hungary, with the lithium reserves from the Republika Srpska, would rank among the four leading global powers in the production of this 'white gold', right after China, the USA and Germany. The colonisation process began with the first meeting between Dodik and Orbán in April 2019, and was particularly intensified during 2022 and 2023, when comprehensive surveys were already carried out and several other mineral wealth basins were discovered. The Hungarian press reported the words of Prime Minister Višković, who stated on that occasion: 'In the coming period, together with our economic partners, we will be able to start exploiting the mineral wealth located in the areas of Ozren, Lopari, Jezero, Mrkonjić Grad, Rudo, Čajniče and Zvornik,'" Đidić explains.

Đidić asks how Orbán bought the trust of Milorad Dodik.

"The Hungarian press writes about the first loan of 35 million euros, which was granted in the 'aid programme for the people of BiH', but its real essence was to secure Dodik's election victory in October 2022. The second, incredibly favourable loan in the amount of 110 million euros was granted by Hungary in the autumn of 2023, when the Republika Srpska was on the verge of bankruptcy, as Finance Minister Zora Vidović stated for the Hungarian press. When Germany cancelled all projects in the Republika Srpska worth 120 million euros in 2022/23, Hungary stepped in with a promise to implement all these projects with its own money. From the Hungarian press, we also learn about new investments from 2024 worth 140 million euros for several different projects, from 'waste management' to 'energy projects' in Hrgude...", explains the diplomatic analyst.

"The same Hungarian sources write about secret deals concluded through the RS power utility, when the Hungarians, far from the public eye, bought a 70% stake in the largest Balkan solar power plant in Trebinje. Hungary plans to additionally invest another incredible half a billion euros in the exploitation of the RS mineral basin in the following year, 2026. Behind all the threats, including the most recent ones we heard from a high-ranking Hungarian diplomat towards Bosnia and Herzegovina, lies, in fact, Orbán's imperialist dream of colonising the RS. Orbán wants to finish the job in a personal union with Dodik, and that is why, for him, Bosnia and Herzegovina as an integral country with its own institutions is the biggest obstacle and hindrance to his obsessive ambition of creating a great and powerful Hungary on European soil," Đidić believes.

He points out that due to his imperial ambitions, Orbán has an obsessive desire to partition Bosnia and Herzegovina.

"It should be recalled that he, together with Janša, was the key author of the 2021 map for the partition of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Orbán needs Dodik, through whom he would neutralise Hungary's defeat in WWII and realise the skilfully concealed plans of a 'great and strong Hungary', but above all, he needs the 'mineral basin' of the RS, and that is why he pays Dodik so generously, why he put him back on his feet when, with an incredible loan of 110 million euros, he saved Dodik's regime from bankruptcy in the summer of 2023."

"Orbán is also the key director of the recent drama with Hungarian military and police forces in Banja Luka, in which he wanted to present Bosnia and Herzegovina as Trump presented Zelenskyy in the Oval Office. This drama had its European dimensions and far-reaching lessons about trust in 'European security forces'. Orbán will not stop here, nor will he give up buying the regime of Milorad Dodik with new millions of euros," Đidić concluded.
