Đidić: The European Union is on the verge of an epochal turnaround, Sarajevo will only react when the hammer hits its head!

(Patria) - The introductory speaker at today's session of "Krug 99" was diplomat and publicist Fuad Đidić.

"The former European 'peace project' overnight becomes a European 'defence project'. The Union based on the 'Acquis…' is transforming into a military platform. Paris and London are forming a new defence strategy due to threats coming from Russia.

They are working urgently on the project of creating a European army.

How are 'small states' and 'small nations' preparing for the announced great war in Europe.

A/ At one end of Europe, where fear of Russia is deeply rooted, flexible multilateral alliances of Baltic and Nordic countries are being formed. Walls 700 km long are being built, bunkers are being constructed, military training for men is mandatory, defence instructions are being distributed, 3,000 km of air lines are covered by anti-drone protection…

B/ At the other, opposite end of Europe, the Balkans, where Russia is perceived as a 'brotherly ally', two mutually opposing 'alliances' are being formed. An arms race dominates, countries are being fragmented and colonised according to the Russian recipe, the right to defence is being taken away, population displacement is threatened, Western diplomats are being expelled, the 'Russian world' is transforming into the 'Serbian world'…

The recent announcement of a military alliance between Serbia and Hungary is merely a response to the 'triple initiative' of Croatia, Albania and Kosovo from 18 March 2025.

What is actually the real truth about the 'Triple Initiative', i.e., the signed 'memorandum'?

It is Croatia's last attempt to catch up with Serbia in the development of the defence and purpose-built industry. While Croatia was ideologically obsessed with Bosniaks as 'Muslim radicals', while it was so blinded by false 'reports', Serbia was continuously and from all sides arming itself to the teeth.

And, when the EU announced a new defence project, Croatia experienced a sudden sobering. Illusions disappeared at the same speed with which Europe lost illusions when its security was decided in Saudi Arabia.

Today, Serbia and the Republika Srpska, together, are far more armed than Croatia as a NATO member.

Croatia recently called on Turkey for help to develop its defence industry. Turkey has already successfully developed this industry in Albania, and laid the foundations for its development in Kosovo.

What, however, is the real game regarding the so-called 'Serbian-Hungarian alliance'?

This is a great game of concealment. Our public should know that Serbia, with the help of Orban, was recently placed on Brussels' list as a country that will produce high-quality weapons for Europe's needs – 150 mm grenades and howitzer cannons.

This project of 'pacifying Serbia' is financed from the European Defence Agency (EDA) fund, which will be spent on all non-EU countries in the amount of 120 billion euros. The data was published last week by the German 'Kiel Institute'.

Thus, with this project, Serbia will secure the status of the leading Balkan power in the purpose-built industry, and thereby this main agent of instability in the Balkans will be further strengthened.

Does Bosnia and Herzegovina, in this difficult environment, carry any message, any vision? Unfortunately, BiH builds its future on hope, on expectation, on (immature) assessments that everything is, in fact, a war farce of political elites.

Why have we forgotten how the martyrdom of Sarajevo connected millions around the world. Do we even remember today how Bosnian defenders first declared their attachment to the great and wonderful culture of Central Europe.

Do we know the greatest lesson of our time: That if Sarajevo fell, the image of Europe for which Paris and London, Warsaw and Tallinn are today raising the creation of a new European defence would disappear.

The most significant battle for Europe began in Sarajevo and is now being transferred to all major cities of Central Europe.

The strength in the defence of Europe that opposes Putin's plans to return Eastern Europe under Russia's wing is now located in Warsaw, Krakow, Prague, Tallinn, Estonia, Bucharest… in terms of readiness and combativeness, they are a model and example for the rest of Europe.

They are now a model for Sarajevo as well, and for many others in Europe.

A model for Sarajevo, which will perhaps only act when the hammer falls on our heads."
