DF: Investigate the church arson as soon as possible, we do not want to believe this is part of the election campaign

The Democratic Front strongly condemns the act of vandalism involving the burning of part of the Church of the Transfiguration of the Lord in the Novo Sarajevo municipality, the Democratic Front announced, as reported by the Patria news agency.

In line with the already known stance of the Democratic Front that every person in this country, on every inch of its soil, must feel equal and free, we demand that police and prosecutorial structures find the perpetrators of this shameful attack on a religious object as soon as possible and determine whether it is an individual act or whether some organized group stands behind this act.

We do not want to believe that this is also part of the election campaign, no matter whose it is, which aims to spread inter-ethnic hatred and fear among the population of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Therefore, the faster discovery of the perpetrator or perpetrators will provide an answer to at least some of the questions raised here, the DF announced.
