(Patria) - The Democratic Front (DF) believes that the offensive against fundamental human rights, undertaken by HDZ as well as the parties of the Troika, stems from their strategic commitment to reject civic political values, while simultaneously tolerating the political values advocated by both HDZ and SNSD.
"Attempts to sabotage the implementation of the European Court of Human Rights ruling on Slaven Kovačević's lawsuit are just a continuation of the anti-civic policy that the Troika has undertaken.
Instead of advocating for and working to strengthen human rights, the Troika is trying to sabotage the fight for them.
No clumsy attempts to deny these claims can be relevant when reality has testified that the Troika is not only prone to sabotaging Slaven Kovačević's appeal, but in the Tuzla Canton, it has decided to oppose the equalisation of the rights of Others with the constituent peoples, which is another in a series of anti-civic moves by the Troika that also fundamentally explains the political motives for undermining Kovačević's civic appeal.
We are still awaiting Ms. Jurišić's answer to the question of whether she met with the alleged agents and whether she supported them in sabotaging the 'Kovačević ruling'?
The extent to which the Troika's representatives are in conflict with human rights is best illustrated by the fact that they do not have the strength to oppose violence against women through the State Parliament.
Considering the Troika's earlier unprincipled moves, such as accepting the formation of government based on the suspension of the Constitution for 24 hours, and approving such amendments to the Election Law by the High Representative that were detrimental to civic and beneficial to ethnic political representation, a clear conclusion can be drawn that the Troika's policy is anything but civic policy.
Given that the Troika, together with HDZ, has started new negotiations on amendments to the Election Law, we call on all relevant social actors and citizens who have placed their trust in the Troika parties, if they wish, to demand a thorough explanation from them as to why, and in whose interest, the Troika so often refuses to be on the side of human rights and the citizens of BiH, while at the same time their moves so often coincide and overlap with the interests of other policies and values.
And if they don't, then so be it! It will be too late for regret later," the DF announced.
