DF: Full support for the request of Bosna, Sarajevo, and Željo, they are asking for less support than they deserve

(Patria) - Sarajevo clubs - KK Bosna, FK Sarajevo and FK Željezničar - have submitted a joint request to the Government and Assembly of Sarajevo Canton for financial support in the next competitive season.

- This request from the three Sarajevo clubs is not only justified, it is probably insufficient. These are three clubs that have achieved success, earned the right to represent our city on the international stage next season, and they are asking for only 0.5% of this year's adopted budget.

If their request were to be fulfilled, the Canton's allocation would be five times less than the budget of just the Partizan Basketball Club, which receives half of its budget from the state - stated the president of DF Sarajevo, Albin Zuhrić.

He called on the Government of Sarajevo Canton to initiate a budget rebalance as soon as possible and allocate funds in accordance with this request - and all DF representatives will vote in favor of it.

- Sarajevo needs top-level sport, we yearn for victories, our society desperately needs to gather around common success, and this will be impossible without minimal state support - added Zuhrić.
