DF: Sale of FDS is a disgrace of the current government

The Government of the Federation of BiH yesterday once again demonstrated its arrogance in managing public resources that generations of people in BiH have built. The prime minister, whose profession we still haven't managed to figure out, because as he himself said he is not a politician, but obviously not an economist or a manager either, managed to sell 39.9% of the government's stake in a profitable company whose capital at the end of 2015 amounted to over 218 million, for only 42 million KM, the Democratic Front announced.

(We are sure he would not sell it for that amount if it were his personal property)

- It is obvious that there is no fear of prosecution and imprisonment in the ruling structures, which is understandable, considering the example of SDA officials who, after serving their mandates, enjoy their wealth acquired "legally" and without any consequences for all the criminal activities that happened under their patronage.

Of course, this refers to the Tobacco Factory Sarajevo.

Putting aside the fact that the sale was made to some phantom company whose sole purpose is apparently to repackage this deal and extract money for certain individuals (if not, why didn't British American Tobacco directly buy the stake!?), the brazenness of the robbery can be seen if we only touch upon the financial data for FDS.

If we simply calculate the government's ownership share in FDS capital, we will arrive at the amount of 87,287,053 KM (yes, dear prime minister, that is 39.9% of 218,764,546 KM, which is the capital of FDS). The difference of some 45 million KM will end up, let's say we don't know exactly where, but we can make a pretty good guess. Furthermore, there was 15 million in cash in FDS accounts, and current assets were 6 times higher than current liabilities (few companies have such a ratio).

And without going further, the fact is that the real value of this company cannot be determined just like that without a detailed analysis and consideration of everything that FDS owns, because the assets are not small (ownership stakes in banks, hotels, funds).

But, what we can probably expect to happen is the continuation of the construction of residential buildings, such as those currently surrounded by high fences at the Poljine location. But only for the chosen ones.

And pensioners, disenfranchised workers, miners, unemployed, and others, you have the opportunity to say what you think about this in about 15 days. So let's tell them - it is stated in the DF's statement.
