DF calls on Čović to publicly abandon changes to the Law and expulsion of foreign judges from the Constitutional Court of BiH

(Patria) - The Democratic Front (DF) today called on the President of HDZ BiH, Dragan Čović, to publicly abandon support for the proposed amendments to the Law on the Constitutional Court of BiH.

The DF believes that these amendments represent a serious threat to the principle of equality before the law and would further deepen ethnic divisions within the country.

Demokratska fronta poziva Dragana Čovića da javno odustane od podrške izmjenama Zakona o Ustavnom sudu kojim se uvodi etničko glasanje u tom istom sudu kao i etnički izbor sudija Ustavnog suda BiH, kao i da odustane od ideje izbacivanja stranih sudija.

Furthermore, the DF called on Čović to abandon the idea of expelling foreign judges from the Constitutional Court of BiH, which, in their opinion, would jeopardize the independence and impartiality of this institution.
