DF: We welcome the Constitutional Court's decision, the imposed government of the "Trojka" and HDZ discriminates against citizens

(Patria) - The Democratic Front welcomes the decision of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the case "Albin Zuhrić and others", which determined that the amendments to the Constitution of FBiH and the Election Law of BiH adopted on October 2, 2022, by High Representative Christian Schmidt discriminate against Others by preventing them from proposing candidates for the (Vice)President of the Federation of BiH.

"Such a decision is another indicator that the imposed government of the "Trojka" and HDZ is a product of legal and constitutional violence against the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and in this specific case, legal violence against citizens who do not belong to the category of Others.

The Democratic Front believes that the Club of Others in the House of Peoples must have the same right to decide as the other Clubs in the House of Peoples. Just as we principledly advocate for the equality of all citizens, the DF also advocates for the equality of all peoples, as well as those who do not belong to the constituent peoples.

The legal violence carried out in the Federation of BiH by High Representative Christian Schmidt has led to the simultaneous existence of clubs of peoples who can influence the election of the leadership of the Federation of BiH and its government, and the club of the Bosniak people and the club of Others who cannot influence it.

Such a situation suits the imposed government of the "Trojka" which, together with the HDZ, through the Club of Croats and the Club of Serbs, governs against the will of the majority of citizens of the Federation of BiH.

The way the "Trojka" governs best shows that they themselves are aware that they have usurped power through legal violence, hence the nature of the decisions made by the current government in the FBiH is precisely that: violent, undemocratic, and most often in the interest of one party (HDZ), and often in the interest of the smaller entity," the statement said.
