DF tells its membership to remain united

The Democratic Front, in a press release two days ago, announced a kind of campaign against the Democratic Front, waged from both the left and right sides of the political spectrum, aimed at the internal breakup of the party. We have become a "thorn in the side" and an obstacle to the plan for the total division of this country, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria.

After Mostar, our organization in Livno is under attack from these "hawks." Therefore, we are publishing a statement from the Information Office of the Democratic Front of Canton 10.

- On behalf of the Democratic Front of Canton 10 - we inform the residents/citizens of this Canton, as well as the public of Bosnia and Herzegovina, that regular activities are taking place in the party, as well as preparations for the municipal elections. As for the alleged attrition of membership, we are witnessing the opposite and the daily accession of new members. The influx of members from national parties is indicative, proving a correct and principled approach to conducting party policy. When it comes to the "dissatisfied" and so-called "hangers-on" in Canton 10 - there are none, because the party simply was not in power. Therefore, we consider the article on the SB portal, published on March 28, 2016, to be tendentious and untrue.

When it comes to the location of the Livno branch's headquarters, the information placed by this portal is false, because the party has rented business premises in the city center and continues with active preparations for the local elections. We also state that Ms. Ivana Robović and Mr. Niko Baković, members of the Main Board and Presidency of the Democratic Front, are among the most prominent party members in general and that, according to the party statute, they actively participate in the process of party decentralization.

According to the statute of the Democratic Front, a member of the Main Board and a member of the Presidency cannot hold any position at lower levels. Therefore, the assertion about the usurpation of power by Niko Baković is untrue and false. When it comes to the Democratic Front representative in the Federal Parliament, Ms. Suzana Galić, we can say that we are proud of her work. Likewise, not a single journalist contacted anyone from the named members of the Democratic Front to verify the truthfulness of the stated information, which is, to put it mildly, malicious.

We tell the membership of the Democratic Front to remain united in implementing the only normal, realistic, principled, and honest policy, which we will turn into as many mandates as possible in the local elections - the DF stated.
